Open Beta for Genesis League Goals, a Web3 Turn-based Soccer Game is Live Now
Genesis League Goals (GLG) is an exciting Web 3.0 turn-based soccer game that connects the exhilaration of the sport to players all over the world, and its open beta launch has been much awaited.
Genesis League Goals’ Open Beta
GLG’s open beta for the game began on August 3, 2023, after an effective public alpha testing phase. A franchise license must be bought for $10 to participate in the open beta of Genesis League Goals (previously Genesis League Soccer), the first in a series of sports-themed card games. Like the Spellbook in Splinterlands, this License grants you unrestricted entry to the game forever.
The MLSPA worked with the developers to incorporate a tactical turn-based multiplayer system into the game. NFTs, which take the shape of digital trading cards in this game, can be traded and exchanged at any moment during gameplay. Fans of the MLS may experience the buzz of the competition alongside the gaming preferences of their favorite players.
Genesis League Sports’ creators have been working hard to implement player feedback into the game, promising that the upcoming open beta launch will be an incredible one.
“The ongoing public beta testing phase for Genesis League Goals has been an incredible journey. We are immensely grateful to our community of players who have actively participated in refining the game and making it even better leading up to this monumental launch,” said Liam Labistour, a spokesperson for Genesis League Sports. “The partnership with the Major League Soccer Players Association has been instrumental in bringing the real essence of the sport into the virtual realm, creating a seamless, turn-based experience for soccer enthusiasts.”
Gameplay
To keep fans interested and engaged, the developers have worked hard to improve the gameplay mechanics and include new features like mid-game substitutions and fast turn-based play. Genesis League Sports has prepared several unique events and giveaways, including authentic MLS player-signed jerseys, to mark the official open beta debut.
The beta gameplay isn’t very fascinating to watch from a gamer’s perspective because there are only seven players. However, the classic arcade environment is enhanced.
Owning players, coaching, and constructing your squad has been one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game.
About Genesis League Goals
Genesis League Goals is a fast-paced football (soccer) management game in which users form their teams and compete against one another. It’s like a trading card game (TCG) meets a strategy simulation.
There are two kinds of cards in the game: coaches and players. A coach’s unique skill is an advantage for the team they lead. Each player has a passing, shooting, dribbling, intercepting, blocking, and tackling rating on the cards.
A player may obtain a set of skills. A player’s skill set is permanent once it has been assigned. Skills grant access to temporary, game-related advantages. Like the Splinterlands, cards can be combined and leveled up to open up new skill slots. In contrast to Splinterlands, however, cards need to earn experience during matches before they can level up. Genesis League Goals’ primary objective is to pick a squad and equip its members with abilities. A coach’s progression through the ranks grants the squad benefits and makes new formations available.
Genesis League Sports has its marketplace where you can look for players who suit your team’s playstyle.
Genesis League Sports
Genesis League Sports was developed in collaboration with the Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA) as a blockchain-based, play-to-earn gaming system for sports-related apps.
The Hive blockchain will power this digital gaming ecosystem. Each team in the Genesis League will have its own set of validator nodes. With these permits, anyone can help keep the ecosystem running in exchange for token incentives. For their sports-related projects, GLS would like to add a variety of gameplay styles. Manager games, in which participants construct their own NFT lineups and submit them for results, fall into this category. The results of fantasy and prediction brackets could be determined by the actual performances of the players.
Play to earn approach will be available in all Genesis League Sports games. A stock incentive program is used for this purpose. More blockchain games are moving toward this type of mechanism as a way to equally compensate players and encourage participation. A reward share is earned for each victory throughout a given period (often a day). Everyone gets paid a piece of the rewards pool at the end of the day based on how many reward shares they earned that day. The amount of tokens staked, guild membership, the sort of NFTs used, etc., can all have an impact on the distribution of rewards.
