Nike revealed in a statement on June 1 that in the upcoming months, its “virtual creations,” which are NFTs, will be included in EA Sports games. Nike’s virtual items will appear in select video games, although they have not yet been announced.

Nike Reveals the Next Generation of Sportswear

Numerous popular video games, like FIFA, Madden NFL, and NBA Live, are part of the EA Sports portfolio, which lures players from all around the world. Nike NFTs are projected to be wearable accessories that gamers may buy to improve their in-game player avatars.

He further added: “This partnership will allow us to unlock some incredible new experiences for our Swoosh community and the massive EA Sports fan base.”

The publisher, according to Andrea Hopelain, SVP of Brand for EA Sports & Racing, wants to “bring creativity and self-expression to the limelight for fans as they interact, face off, and share their love for the sport.”

There hasn’t been much more information made public about the partnership so far, but Nike promised that further details about its association with EA Sports will be disclosed “in the months to come.”

According to the statistics from Dune Analytics, Nike has had enormous financial success from their NFT launches, bringing in more than $186 million in total sales since December 2021.

RTFKT, the Web3 firm it bought, which developed CloneX NFTs with artist Takashi Murakami, as well as NFT-based Nike CryptoKicks and special physical trainers that can only be purchased via redeeming NFTs, have contributed the majority of that income.
