The introduction of the new Web3 games is on the rise with novel technologies being used in their development. In light of the upcoming launches, we made a list of the top new blockchain games coming in 2023. Here is the second part of our top 20 games. Enjoy!
Fight Me
“Fight Me” is a play-to-own and compete-to-earn game, focusing on fight club management. Players collect fighters, train and enhance them, and then enter competitions to climb the ranks and secure victories. This game was developed by Nekki, a renowned game developer with a global player base exceeding 1 billion. “Fight Me” will operate on Polygon, with a closed beta scheduled for Q1 2024.
Space Nation
“Space Nation Online” is a space opera MMORPG where a survivor of the human race called the Hibernator, escapes Earth through a Stargate. Upon reaching the enigmatic society of Telikos, Hibernator embarks on a voyage across the universe, spanning galaxies.
Fueled by a substantial $25 million in funding, the game is developed by a Chinese team headed by CTO Xin Wang and CMO Barry Hoffman. Space Nation is scheduled to operate on the Ethereum platform, with an anticipated release in Q2 2024.”
Providence
Dynasty Studios unveiled their upcoming Web3 game during the annual Avalanche Summit event. Developed over the past two years, “Providence” offers a unique take on the multiplayer survival genre, enabling players to explore alien worlds and engage in competition within a galaxy. This game guarantees a genuine free-to-play experience, featuring a player-driven economy with no entry barriers.
The alpha version of Providence is expected to debut later in 2023.
Cosmik Battle
Cosmik Battle is a strategy-based TCG from French web3 game developer Cometh. The game is set to be launched for PC as well as mobiles, in Q4 2023. The game will allow players to personalize decks, enhance them via crafting or trading, and offer NFTs for cards and spaceships for purchase or to be rented. It will be accessible on HyperPlay, app stores, and the Epic Games Store.
Last Resort
“Last Resort” is a co-op shooter where the player and a team of up to 3 others must safeguard humanity’s inaugural Mars hotel from menacing extraterrestrial creatures. Last Resort is a free-to-play survival MMO with optional NFT ownership, hosted on Immutable. Scheduled for release in Q3 2024, Last Resort is created by the French game studio Blue Sky Interactive.
LifeVerse
LifeVerse is a decentralized, community-driven web3 gaming ecosystem built on the Arbitrum platform. It provides players with engaging and rewarding gaming experiences that encompass the broader, interoperable Treasure ecosystem. This is achieved through the development of games owned and operated by LifeVerse, as well as partnerships with promising Treasure cartridges.
ONE Fight Arena
ONE Championship, the world’s leading martial arts organization, has joined forces with Animoca Brands, a pioneer in digital property rights for gaming and the open metaverse. This NFT-powered mobile game showcases ONE’s extensive roster of world-class martial artists and its vast IP library.
ONE Fight Arena is scheduled for player testing in Q4 2023, with a full global launch planned for Q1 2024. Gamers can access this free-to-play mobile game on both Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
Dark Machine
“Dark Machine” is a team-based mech shooter set in 2149, after a global-scale eruption shaped a volcanic mountain line in Japan. Players join forces with next-gen dark mechs for epic battles. The game is developed with a team supported by Tencent and composed of veterans from Square Enix and Sega. This ambitious next-gen shooter, Dark Country, is slated to launch in partnership with Immutable in 2025.
Furthermore, Meta-X has another title in the works, Jewel Knights, scheduled for release in the second half of 2023.
Chains of the Eternals
Chains of the Eternals is an open-world MMORPG, powered by Unity. It operates entirely on the Arbitrum blockchain, with no central entities. Players have full ownership, and their key actions are performed through smart contracts on the blockchain. Gamers can craft their characters and earn XO tokens by engaging in various events, performing in quests, and defeating monsters. The developers recently achieved recognition as one of the six winners in MetaMask’s Sidequest gaming program.
Soulkeep
Soulkeep, a tower defense game that was first announced in early 2023, is a highly anticipated title. The game is currently in beta, with the next update in the works. It was created by the well-known Double Coconut team. Soulkeep is a tactical tower defense game developed in collaboration with Splinterlands that runs on the Hive blockchain. Similar to the popular “Clash of Clans,” gamers will face the challenge of strategically positioning towers, casting spells, and deploying heroes to defeat the incoming enemy waves.
